Pack Fundraiser Preview

The pack is holding a major fundraiser to help families defray the costs of our summer events. Boys who participate will earn money toward either Sabine District Day Camp or our Summer Camping Trip. These are actually 2 fundraisers being held on the same day.

The garage sale will be held at First United Methodist Church of Groves in the parking lot (weather permitting) or indoors. The garage sale will run from 7:00 am - 2:00 pm. Each boy will be assigned a table to work at. Everything on his table will be the same price, so anyone who wants to buy off of that table will pay when they take the item. Proceeds for the entire garage sale will be added up, and the pack will take out whatever we spent (on advertising and so forth) and another $200 for a PA system, then the remainder will be divided evenly between the boys who met the 2 hour requirement to be reimbursed for either or both events that he attends. If a boy participates but is not attending, then his share will be divided between the remaining boys.

The link sale will run from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm also at the church. Each boy is asked to sell tickets: a link and a drink for $3. For each ticket he sells, $2 will be applied toward either or both events. If a Cub Scout sells tickets but does not participate in either event, he may designate someone to benefit from his ticket sales.

Day Camp is $70/Cub Scout. The summer camping trip is $50/participant (Cub Scout, parent, sibling). If a Cub Scout exceeds the amount of money required to pay for himself, the additional money will be applied toward family members who participate.
